esMD Direct is Wellington’s portal for the electronic submission of medical documentation to payers. Medical documents (e.g., medical records, appeal letters, etc.) are uploaded to esMD Direct and transmitted to the payer. As the nation’s first CMS approved Health Information Handler, esMD Direct enables electronic submission to participating Medicare contractors (e.g., MAC, RAC, ZPIC, CERT, QIO) via CMS’ esMD network. esMD Direct also supports a growing list of payer portals (e.g., Humana, Equiclaim, CGI). esMD Direct’s automated fax server enables transmission to any other payer that accepts faxed medical documents. esMD Direct is also integrated within AuditNavigator™
